Artwork Bugs, a Walrus and a Door – Steklenik 2018 is an upgrade of the original music from 1986 with new sounds of bug Legnotus limbosus and returns to the basic sound realisation for 8-channel sound system. Same as in 2016, the basic sound material also uses electro-acoustic processing of sound patterns and modules of animal world in combination with the use of synthetic electronic sources that resemble the basic acoustic (animal) material.
This artwork as well as Bugs, a Walrus and a Door – Trento 16 enables live act performance with combining different pre-recored sound modules that form the base of composition. The procedure of real time combining is joined by simultaneous electro-acoustic work (live electronics). Due to various possible combinations that are possible in live performance, the realizations can be significantly different from one another. Therefore, this is a kind of living organism that adapts the length of performance to the performer, his mood and the venue itself. It can be set up as stereo, surround 5.1, 4-channel, or 8-channel version.
