Children will learn about folk music instruments together with the workshop leader Andrej Fon and collaborate in a concert afterwards. They will conduct a shorter sound experiment during which they will learn about the basic principles of all woodwind instruments. They will make different resonators to mimic animals, a cow, an elephant, a mosquito and a cicada. In the last part of the workshop they will try an improvisation. They will use the instruments made at the workshop and other acoustic instruments. They will play in a format that is adapted to their age, after conductor method by Butch Morris, intended for improvisation orchestra. They will also improvise with music INSECTA Cantata by Brane Zorman from the cycle Animout MUZIK.

Andrej Fon is a Slovenian musician and pedagogue (clarinet, saxophone, gaida, guitar, drums, DIY instruments). He creates music of different genres (rock in opposition, no wave, folk music, free improvisation, singer-songwriter). He is a member of groups Olfamož, Strahuljarji, Kraški solisti, Horda grdih, Žoambo žoet, workestrao, Barka tone in bele plombe, Buče 4, Tropičja, Samo gromofon, Svojat and Oholo!.
